Children’s Summer Activity project

The Children’s Summer Activity programme is part of our outreach effort to include the local community.

The programme offers structured activities to children and youth during the school holiday period when they often have very little else to do. During this period, children are particularly vulnerable to the impact of negative role models, and so this programme also aims to enable children to engage with positive role models.

The programme is designed to ensure it is active, educational and fun. It also supports the children and youth in their learning of English. Advanced Diploma students and volunteers from the Main Diploma are trained to run this programme over the course of three days; this facilitates their own personal and professional development.
